An established law firm is seeking a seasoned Labor Relations Attorney with a minimum of 10 years of management-side labor law experience. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in traditional labor law, including collective bargaining, contract administration, and representing employers in arbitrations and hearings.

Duties

  • Provide legal counsel on traditional labor law matters for management-side clients
  • Lead and manage client relationships directly, focusing on labor relations issues
  • Represent clients in collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, arbitrations, and board hearings
  • Advise employers on compliance with labor laws and develop strategies for labor relations
  • Engage in collaborative team efforts to address immediate client needs and deliver excellent client service

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in traditional labor law on the management side
  • Experience handling labor law issues in both private and public sector environments
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and strong client relationship management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and independently on cases
  • Preferred experience with a personal client base

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with either the Washington State Bar Association or Oregon State Bar, or eligibility for reciprocity
  • California State Bar license is a plus

Skills

  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on collective bargaining and contract administration
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills for representing clients in hearings and arbitrations
  • Proficiency in handling complex labor relations cases and advising on compliance issues
