A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a highly qualified Consumer Financial Services Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of state and federal court litigation experience, be admitted to the California Bar, possess excellent academic and professional credentials, demonstrate superior research and writing ability, exhibit strong analytical skills, and have excellent communication skills. Clerkship experience is preferred, and candidates must be admitted and actively barred in both the state where they reside and in California.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in consumer financial services litigation matters in state and federal courts.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research, analysis, and case preparation to provide effective legal counsel.
  • Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Appear in court to argue motions, attend hearings, and participate in trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop litigation strategies and objectives.
  • Offer legal advice and guidance on regulatory compliance within the consumer financial services sector.
  • Maintain organized case files, records, and documentation for efficient case management.
  • Stay updated on changes in consumer financial services laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of state and federal court litigation experience.
  • California Bar admission.
  • Excellent academic and professional credentials.
  • Superior research and writing ability.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Preferred: Clerkship experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the state where the candidate resides.
  • Active bar membership in California.
