Job Overview:
A law firm in McMurray area is seeking a passionate and adaptable Associate Attorney to join their estate planning and estate administration practice. Location:

  • McMurray, PA

Duties:

  • Review estate planning documents to ensure accuracy and compliance (minimal drafting required).
  • Meet with clients to discuss their estate planning or estate administration needs and provide guidance.
  • Design comprehensive estate plans tailored to client goals and circumstances.
  • Manage the probate process, including filing inheritance tax returns and opening the estate.
  • Assist clients with forming LLCs and ensuring proper legal structuring.
  • Conduct trust terminations, ensuring assets are distributed appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar license in Pennsylvania.
  • At least 6 months of experience as an Associate Attorney (5+ years preferred).
  • Genuine interest in estate planning and estate administration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and see the bigger picture.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of the role.
  • Adaptability to firm systems and workflows.

Education:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar license in Pennsylvania.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with estate planning and estate administration practices.
  • Ability to interact with clients and provide personalized advice.
  • Proficient in using legal tools and systems for documentation and case management.

Bonus Experience:

  • Knowledge of Medicaid planning and eligibility requirements.
  • Familiarity with Monday.com, Excel, and/or Lawmatics.
  • Experience using WealthCounsel for drafting estate planning documents.
