Criminal Defense Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a skilled Criminal Defense Attorney to join its team. This role offers significant growth opportunities and the chance to gain valuable experience in an established legal environment.  Remote attorneys will oversee all aspects of these cases, including discovery, motions, DA negotiations, and court appearances when possible.

Location:

• San Jose, CA

Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents

• Attend pretrial hearings and provide strategic counsel

• Handle court appearances, trials, motions, witness interviews, and legal research

• Analyze case outcomes using legal precedents

• Manage a caseload independently while collaborating with the Criminal Defense Team

• Prepare clients for depositions and collaborate with experts to develop case strategies

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Criminal Defense

• Experience handling complex cases at the federal, state, and local levels

• Strong interpersonal and advocacy skills

• Ability to strategize and collaborate effectively within a team

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

• Courtroom advocacy and deposition experience

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently

• Proficiency in legal writing and document drafting
