A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney to join its Family Law Department. This position is available for qualified candidates with 3-7 years of experience in family law. The successful applicant will be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, with a New Jersey license considered a plus. The firm is looking for an attorney well-versed in various aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and protection from abuse.

Duties

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce proceedings and custody disputes.
  • Attend court conferences and hearings to advocate for clients' interests.
  • Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, memoranda, and discovery requests and responses.
  • Negotiate settlements and develop marital settlement agreements.
  • Handle post-decree modifications and other related legal matters.
  • Maintain organized case files and provide regular updates to clients.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • 3-7 years of experience in family law.
  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania; New Jersey license is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of family law principles and procedures.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.

Certifications

  • Active bar admission in Pennsylvania; New Jersey admission is an advantage.
