Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Princeton and Newtown offices. This role is ideal for either a solo practitioner looking to expand their practice without the administrative burdens or a big-firm attorney seeking more autonomy. The candidate will have the opportunity to grow their practice area while benefiting from the firm's resources, marketing, and referral network. In addition to developing their own practice, the attorney will also work on various matters handled by the firm, providing opportunities for learning and growth in different legal areas.

Duties:

  • Expand and manage your practice area by leveraging the firm's resources, marketing, and referral network
  • Provide legal services to existing clients while building relationships with new ones
  • Collaborate with the firm's legal team on a variety of matters handled by a general practice firm
  • Contribute to the overall growth and success of the firm through active participation in marketing efforts and client development
  • Engage with clients in a professional and ethical manner, offering legal counsel across a variety of legal matters

Requirements:

  • Experienced attorney with a broad knowledge of legal procedures and substantive law
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a practice area, with an existing client base and referral network being a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to engage in business development and marketing
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
  • Desire to contribute to both personal growth and the overall success of the firm

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar (admission to other states is a plus)

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Expertise in a specific practice area, along with a willingness to expand into other legal areas
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a collaborative mindset
