Labor and Employment Associate Attorney

A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a dedicated Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join their team. The candidate will collaborate closely with experienced litigators, serve a diverse client base, and benefit from substantial opportunities for career growth and advancement.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on labor and employment law issues.
• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements.
• Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on employment-related matters such as discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, and employment policies.
• Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Assist in compliance audits and investigations.

Requirements:

• Admission to the Oregon Bar.
• 2-10 years of experience practicing law in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Preferred experience in labor and employment law; general civil litigation experience is welcomed.
• Excellent legal writing and research skills.
• Strong oral communication and interpersonal abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the Oregon State Bar.
