Mid-level Litigation Associate (Class Actions)

A law firm seeks a skilled Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its Product Liability, Mass Torts & Class Actions practice group. This role involves working on complex class action defense cases and offers opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative and challenging environment. The position is based in the New York metropolitan area.

Duties

• Manage and oversee a diverse docket of class action cases across various industries.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare comprehensive litigation strategies.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials as part of a high-functioning team.
• Provide guidance and insights on procedural and substantive legal issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective case management and client communication.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, with a preference for candidates from top-tier firms.
• Expertise in class action defense cases.
• Strong background in complex commercial, securities, or consumer litigation.
• Prior experience managing multi-matter caseloads.
• Federal clerkship experience is an advantage.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (e.g., New York or New Jersey).
