Job Overview: A law firm specializing in energy and infrastructure projects seeks a Projects Lawyer with 4-6 years of experience in project development and mergers and acquisitions. The role offers opportunities to work on renewable energy transactions and broader energy and infrastructure projects.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate various agreements, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, and equipment procurement agreements.
  • Advise on project development matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for mergers and acquisitions in the energy sector.
  • Provide legal support throughout the project lifecycle from inception through financing and operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, finance professionals, and project managers.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Minnesota State Bar or ability to become admitted promptly.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in project development and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience in renewable energy, oil & gas, or related sectors preferred.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, corporate transactions, and regulatory compliance.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in Energy Law or related field (e.g., CEP, CELA).

Skills:

  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach to work.
