This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in complex, client-driven transactions related to renewable energy, including tax credit transactions and due diligence matters. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of project finance and experience in drafting and negotiating sophisticated transaction documents.

Duties:

  • Assist in structuring and negotiating renewable energy project finance transactions, including tax credit deals.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of transaction documents, such as credit agreements and tax equity agreements.
  • Manage due diligence processes and facilitate the review of project documents by subject-matter specialists.
  • Oversee the closing of transactions, ensuring all legal and compliance requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to provide strategic advice on renewable energy projects.
  • Maintain a proactive approach in managing multiple, complex projects within deadlines.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s renewable energy practice by supporting business development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project finance and tax credit transactions.
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex transaction documents.
  • Experience in managing due diligence and closing processes for renewable energy projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • An active member in good standing with the Wisconsin Bar.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to practice in the state of Wisconsin or be eligible to become licensed.
