Job Title: Environmental Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A leading law firm is currently looking to hire an experienced Environmental Attorney with a focus on multi-party complex litigation. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact cases while collaborating closely with senior partners and a dynamic litigation team. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of litigation experience, a strong writing background, and a familiarity with environmental law, particularly CERCLA.

Duties:

• Participate in multi-party complex litigation with a focus on environmental matters
• Handle discovery processes including propounding and responding to discovery requests
• Conduct legal research to support litigation efforts
• Draft detailed briefs and other legal documents
• Contribute to the overall litigation strategy, ensuring alignment with client goals
• Collaborate closely with senior partners and team members on case development
• Manage case responsibilities in a reduced hours capacity, with a minimum of 1000 billable hours annually

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of litigation experience
• Strong writing and communication skills, particularly in litigation contexts
• Familiarity with environmental law, especially CERCLA, is a plus
• Admission to the Washington, DC Bar
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Washington, DC Bar Admission required
