Employment Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
An established law firm, recognized for its excellence in labor and employment law, is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate to join its team in the New York City office. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex cases, including litigation, mediation, and arbitration, while advising clients on employment law compliance and risk management.

Location:

• New York City, NY

Duties:

• Litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration on matters such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, and employment tort cases.
• Advise employers on compliance with fair employment laws and related risk management, including implementing dispute resolution programs.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in employment law preferred.
• Current New York Bar admission or the ability to obtain admission.
• Strong background in employment litigation.
• Knowledge of both state and federal agency procedures.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to excellence.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar or the ability to obtain admission.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Proficiency in legal drafting, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• In-depth knowledge of labor and employment law, including related statutes and regulations.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
