Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a litigation associate attorney to join its Richmond office in a full-time, partnership-track position. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 4 years of litigation experience and a strong academic background. The firm values client service and offers opportunities to work on pro bono matters. Duties:

• Manage and support a variety of litigation cases, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing motions.
• Assist with discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and trials as required.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client management.
• Participate in pro bono work as part of the firm's commitment to community service.
• Provide high-quality client service, ensuring clear and timely communication.

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years of litigation experience (class of 2022 to class of 2019).
• Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple litigation matters and meet deadlines.
• Judicial clerkship experience is preferred but not required.
• Commitment to client service and teamwork.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be eligible for Virginia Bar membership, with required admission within one year of hiring.
