A law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on Hatch-Waxman litigation. This role requires a strong academic background, relevant law firm experience, and outstanding writing and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Hatch-Waxman litigation experience and technical knowledge in areas like chemistry, biology, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of litigation matters, with a focus on Hatch-Waxman cases.
  • Draft and file legal briefs, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Participate in fact and expert discovery, including depositions and document production.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with partners and clients to develop litigation strategies.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Assist in managing case deadlines and ensure timely delivery of all case materials.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and other forms of dispute resolution as needed.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Washington State Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • 3+ years of experience in Hatch-Waxman litigation.
  • Prior experience drafting legal briefs and participating in all aspects of fact and expert discovery.
  • Solid law firm experience with a track record of handling complex litigation matters.
  • Superb writing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate legal strategies effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical patent litigation.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.

Skills:

  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using litigation management software and other legal tools.

Education & Certifications:

  • JD required.
