Job Overview:
A dynamic law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Patent Agent specializing in Biotechnology to join its IP Group in New York. The role involves collaborating with clients to identify inventions and assisting attorneys in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, as well as providing technical support in IP litigation and transactions.

Location:

Duties:

• Work with clients to identify and evaluate inventions
• Assist attorneys in preparing and prosecuting patent applications
• Conduct patent searches and analysis
• Provide technical assistance in IP litigation and transactions
• Collaborate with a high-performing team

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, immunology, or pharmacology
• Strong academic credentials
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills

Education:

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant scientific field

Certifications:

• Patent Agent certification preferred (or eligibility to sit for the exam)

Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
