A law firm seeks a motivated and organized Litigation Attorney to join its team remotely, supporting its Texas-based corporate office. The firm specializes in debt recovery litigation and provides comprehensive legal solutions for major financial institutions. This role offers flexibility with a remote work setup, travel opportunities, and a compensation package based on salary and commission.

Duties:

  • Negotiate settlements for pending litigation cases, striving for optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Handle motion practice, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and other related documents.
  • Attend court hearings and trials in the assigned regional area (travel reimbursement provided).
  • Manage a high volume of cases while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
  • Interact professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as document execution, calendar management, and case tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • At least 1 year of experience in civil litigation (debt recovery experience preferred but not required).
  • Ability to manage a high caseload and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general technology tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and opposing counsel.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of courtroom procedures and civil litigation.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in drafting legal documents, pleadings, and discovery.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
