Job Overview:

A law firm in Miami, FL, specializing in environmental law seeks an experienced Environmental Partner to lead and expand its environmental practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in ecological transactional, regulatory compliance, and permitting matters, with a proven track record in handling complex environmental issues.

Duties:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the environmental practice group.
  • Handle various environmental transactional matters, including due diligence and transactional support.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance issues related to environmental laws.
  • Manage environmental assessments and liability matters.
  • Navigate wetlands and coastal permitting processes for clients.
  • Counsel on complex land use projects involving environmental considerations.
  • Represent clients in air quality matters and hazardous materials contamination cases.
  • Handle environmental compliance and enforcement actions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience practicing environmental law, focusing on transactional, regulatory compliance, and permitting matters.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead legal teams.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Strong track record of client development and retention in environmental law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
