Job Overview:

A Dallas, TX-based law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in civil litigation and will support Partners handling complex commercial, financial, labor, and product liability disputes. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of cases, from fact investigations to trials, while gaining valuable mentorship and professional growth opportunities.

Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, notices, and written discovery
• Conduct fact investigations and inspections related to litigation cases
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
• Develop case strategies and prepare legal documents
• Attend case conferences and provide updates on dockets and personnel matters
• Engage in firm-sponsored events and professional business conferences

Requirements:

• Active license and in good standing to practice law in Texas
• A minimum of 3+ years of civil litigation experience
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple case files
• Strong legal writing, time management, and verbal communication skills
• Positive mindset and strong teamwork mentality
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas

Certifications:

• Active member of the Texas State Bar or eligible to become a member
• Additional certifications related to civil litigation are a plus
