This role involves working on complex legal matters in the government contracts domain, including bid protests, cybersecurity, acquisition regulations, and contract disputes. Duties

  • Handle bid protests and related litigation.
  • Advise on cybersecurity and compliance with acquisition regulations, including FAR and DFARS.
  • Draft Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs) and claims.
  • Provide claims analysis, counseling, and litigation under the Contract Disputes Act (CDA).
  • Address issues related to federal subcontracting, disputes, and flow-down compliance.
  • Work on matters involving multiple award contracts and small business procurement.
  • Engage in legal work involving aerospace/defense, infrastructure/construction, life sciences/pharmaceutical, and manufacturing industries.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and client development efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in government contracts law, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage legal matters independently when appropriate.
  • Experience in litigation and dispute resolution within the government contracts space.
  • Virginia State Bar admission is highly preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
