Lateral Insurance Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Portland is seeking a Lateral Insurance Litigation Attorney who is licensed to practice in Oregon. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance litigation and will be responsible for handling various aspects of insurance-related cases.

Duties:

• Represent clients in insurance litigation matters.
• Handle all stages of litigation, from case inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop case strategies.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on insurance-related matters.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
• Stay informed about developments in insurance law and regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Oregon.
• Prior experience in insurance litigation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
