Job Overview:

A prominent full-service law firm is seeking a skilled Labor & Employment Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in employment-related litigation. The position is based in Nashville, TN, and offers an opportunity to work on a wide range of employment law matters, including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and similar state-law claims. Experience in OSHA work is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong research, writing skills, and the ability to collaborate within a team-oriented environment.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in various employment-related litigations, including claims under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and state-law equivalents.
  • Handle a variety of employment law matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour issues.
  • Assist in compliance issues related to federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide legal advice to clients on best practices in human resources and employment law compliance.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the litigation team to strategize and handle cases efficiently.
  • Stay updated on changes to labor and employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on employment-related litigation.
  • Familiarity with Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and similar state-law claims.
  • OSHA experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while managing individual caseloads.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Tennessee State Bar or ability to obtain licensure.

Skills:

  • Strong research, writing, and litigation skills.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including anti-discrimination laws, wage and hour laws, and employee rights.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
  • Experience handling OSHA-related cases is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
