Job Overview: A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional tax law, including fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence promptly and efficiently.
  • Provide accurate and timely work products while meeting deadlines and firm expectations.
  • Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including extended computer work, digital/virtual conference calls, and meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of transactional tax experience focusing on fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions.
  • Experience at a direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good business judgment and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and problem-solving.
  • Conceptual thinking ability and the capacity to influence others.
  • Persuasive communication skills and practical management abilities.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in TX.
