Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to join their team in Bridgewater, NJ. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling all aspects of Chapter 11 cases with minimal supervision. This role requires extensive experience in commercial bankruptcy and corporate restructuring, along with exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of Chapter 11 cases with minimal supervision.
  • Draft and prepare motions, disclosure statements, and Chapter 11 plans.
  • Interpret and apply the Bankruptcy Code effectively in various scenarios.
  • Represent clients, including creditors, debtors, and/or trustees, in bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
  • Collaborate with clients and other attorneys to develop case strategies and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and deadlines.
  • Prepare and present legal documents and arguments in court as needed.
  • Assist in managing and supervising junior attorneys and support staff.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of experience in commercial bankruptcy, corporate restructuring, and Chapter 11 cases.
  • Proven track record of handling complex bankruptcy cases with minimal oversight.
  • Experience representing creditors, debtors, and/or trustees in bankruptcy proceedings.
  • State court foreclosure experience is a plus.
  • Must be Bar admitted in the State of New York or the State of New Jersey.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Superior academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the Bar in the State of New York or the State of New Jersey.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and relevant legal principles.
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills.
  • Superior writing and communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
