Litigation Associate Attorney

Location:

• Farmingdale, NY

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of civil defense litigation, from pre-lawsuit investigations to trial preparation.
• Conduct case analysis and provide strategic recommendations.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Prepare and argue motions in court.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Assist in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and witness lists.
• Develop and implement strategies to resolve claims efficiently.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of civil defense litigation experience.
• Experience with employment practices liability preferred.
• Strong skills in pre-complaint investigations, case analysis, and drafting/responding to discovery.
• Experience with preparing and arguing law and motions.
• Proficient in taking and defending depositions.
• Must be licensed and in good standing with the New York State Bar.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the New York State Bar.
