A law firm seeks an experienced securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group in Dallas, TX. This is a professional-track position (non-partnership) intended for a skilled attorney specializing in structured securities offerings, especially within the commercial real estate sector. The role involves advising and representing a diverse range of clients, including REITs, public and private real estate companies, and institutional investors, in complex transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, financings, and property developments.

Duties:

  • Lead structured securities offerings, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards while meeting client objectives.
  • Represent clients in a variety of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, restructurings, complex financings, and development projects.
  • Offer strategic advice on real estate finance and investment structuring to support client portfolio management.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, partners, and cross-functional teams to streamline transaction processes.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and prepare analyses to support complex financial transactions and regulatory adherence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in managing structured securities offerings, with a focus on commercial real estate.
  • Extensive knowledge of real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and best practices in real estate investment and transaction structuring.
  • Previous experience with a prominent law firm, ideally within the AmLaw 100.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good business judgment and effective decision-making capabilities.
