Job Title: Civil Litigation Associate Attorney (Hybrid)

Job Overview: A reputable Connecticut-based law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Bridgeport, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance defense litigation and civil litigation and will be responsible for managing cases from inception to resolution, providing legal advice, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in court. This is a hybrid position that offers a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of civil litigation cases, including legal research, drafting documents, and managing day-to-day case activities.
• Represent clients in court and conduct depositions as part of the litigation process.
• Develop litigation strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
• Negotiate settlements and manage the resolution of disputes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations.
• Maintain communication with clients, keeping them informed of key case developments.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on insurance defense litigation.
• Strong research skills and the ability to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Experience representing clients in court and handling depositions.
• Ability to draft and prepare legal documents accurately and efficiently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Connecticut Bar (required).
• Admission to the New York Bar (preferred).

Skills:

• Civil litigation experience, especially in insurance defense.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Negotiation and settlement experience.
