Job Overview:

A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Workers' Compensation practice group. The ideal candidate will have exceptional legal research, writing, and litigation skills, along with a strong work ethic and ability to handle complex workers' compensation cases.

Location:

  • Pittsburgh, PA

Duties:

  • Review and analyze workers' compensation claims.
  • Conduct extensive legal research and draft client correspondence, discovery documents, summations, appeals, and appellate briefs.
  • Represent clients at depositions and hearings before the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Board.
  • Prepare for trials and attend court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses, evaluating their findings and testimony.
  • Maintain an annual billable hour requirement of 1950 hours.
  • Respond promptly to email and phone inquiries from clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania (other state admissions a plus but not required).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong client relationship management and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
