A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with expertise in international trade to join its Corporate Services Group in Saint Louis, MO. Duties

  • Manage multiple legal matters simultaneously, from inception to resolution.
  • Provide strategic guidance and handle high-level aspects of international trade compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Prepare and deliver quality legal advice in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to address complex legal challenges.
  • Adhere to the highest professional and ethical standards while providing exceptional client service.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives through teamwork and individual efforts.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in U.S. export controls, customs compliance, economic sanctions, embargoed country transactions, anti-boycott laws, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
  • Preferred Experience: 4+ years as a licensed attorney at a law firm.
  • Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in good standing in one or more jurisdictions where the firm operates.
  • Compliance with continuing legal education (CLE) requirements and license renewal obligations.
