Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to handle the firm’s litigation files, develop legal strategies, and oversee actions within the appropriate forums. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Duties:

• Handle the firm’s litigation files in the appropriate forum.
• Outline or oversee appropriate actions, including creating legal strategy and budget for assigned cases.
• Ensure action plans for assigned cases are implemented and completed.
• Draft, review, and sign various pleadings and other court filings.
• Act as a liaison between the firm and its clients, vendors, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Manage all files by applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Prepare and present pleadings and other court and legal documents.
• Coordinate and lead a diverse staff and attorneys team within a department or office location.
• Oversee actions of paralegals assigned to assist the Attorney or those under his/her supervision.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree.
• Member of State Bar in good standing in FL.
• Admission into all state and/or federal courts in which the firm designates an Attorney to practice.
• 5+ years as an attorney in business disputes or commercial litigation law.
