A law firm seeks an experienced and skilled Personal Injury Trial Attorney to join a growing team in Houston, TX. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney with strong litigation experience to handle a variety of civil cases, including personal injury matters. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing cases from inception to resolution, including trial experience. This position is designed for an attorney who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing exceptional legal representation.

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage all stages of civil litigation, including intake, discovery, trial preparation, and case resolution.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and decision-making.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court, including hearings, motions, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients and advocate for their best interests.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Deliver excellent client service by addressing their legal concerns and providing timely updates.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Proven track record in handling cases through all phases of litigation, including trial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Effective negotiation and client advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team when necessary.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of civil litigation processes.
  • Excellent case management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Strong public speaking and courtroom presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in case management software and legal tools.
