Job Overview: A law firm in Irving, TX, specializing in creditors rights litigation, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle hearings, develop litigation strategies, manage a caseload, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with the firm’s Texas creditor's rights litigation practice
  • Handle hearings in the state of Texas
  • Monitor progress and develop strategies to bring files to resolution effectively and efficiently
  • Provide status updates, legal analysis, and legal strategy recommendations to clients
  • Handle a large caseload, including all aspects of matters from assignment to conclusion, under the supervision of Senior Attorneys
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of all conditions precedent to the filing of the action, including review of loan documents, financials, and demand letters
  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence in connection with foreclosure actions
  • Ensure all internal systems are updated to include findings, documentation, and recommendations
  • Exercise the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements, as applicable

Requirements:

  • Texas Bar Admission with 5 years of experience in State litigation
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Superior time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Meticulous analytical skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Texas State Bar Membership

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Texas State Bar Membership

Skills:

  • Experience conducting evidentiary hearings, researching legal issues, drafting motion practice, discovery, advocating for clients in court proceedings, and taking/defending depositions
  • Organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines
