A law firm is seeking an IP Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Dallas, TX office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and strong interpersonal skills, with a background in intellectual property litigation. A technical background, particularly an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, is strongly preferred. The position requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in intellectual property litigation matters, including patent, trademark, and copyright disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to IP litigation.
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Prepare and present oral arguments in court.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document review and production.
  • Interact with clients to provide updates and legal advice.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on complex IP cases.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Stay current with developments in IP law and litigation practices.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Technical background is strongly preferred; an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to handle complex litigation matters.
  • Experience with patent, trademark, and copyright law.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Bar and in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • Expertise in intellectual property litigation.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent drafting and legal writing abilities.
  • Effective oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Technical proficiency, particularly in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, is preferred.
