A law firm seeks a Transactional Franchise & Distribution Associate Attorney to join its practice in Austin, TX. This position is tailored for an attorney with experience in U.S. franchising regulations, skilled in drafting franchise-related agreements and overseeing regulatory compliance. The role involves advising on complex business transactions within the franchise sector, catering to a diverse range of clients both domestically and internationally.

Duties:

  • Draft and review franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents, and related regulatory filings.
  • Provide counsel on intricate business transactions within the franchise and distribution fields.
  • Advise clients on franchising compliance and regulatory requirements, considering both U.S. and international matters.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys on transactional and litigation matters related to franchise law.
  • Serve a broad client base, including start-up franchisors, established franchise corporations, private equity firms, and international companies expanding into the U.S.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transactional franchise law.
  • Proficient knowledge of U.S. franchise regulations and compliance standards.
  • Admission to practice law in Texas, or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission.
