A growing law firm in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Family & Criminal Defense Attorney to join its team. This role offers a unique opportunity for attorneys experienced in family and criminal law to contribute to a high-growth environment with opportunities for advancement. Duties

  • Conduct consultations with prospective clients, averaging 15-20 consultations per week with a target closing rate of 35-40%
  • Provide comprehensive legal representation in family and criminal cases, including divorce, custody, adoption, DWOL, DUI, and assault cases
  • Manage cases efficiently, maintaining timely communication with clients, team members, and relevant departments
  • Oversee case reviews, ensuring adherence to client communication protocols
  • Prepare and file motions and other legal documents on time, delivering a high-quality client experience
  • Produce and oversee regular reports (daily, weekly, quarterly, annually) for supervisors and management, optimizing report automation and efficiency
  • Delegate tasks effectively to maximize team productivity and leverage attorney expertise
  • Work toward individual and firm goals based on established KPIs and performance expectations

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in Tennessee
  • 3-5 years of experience in family and criminal defense law
  • Strong litigation experience, including mediation, negotiations, legal research, and writing
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strategic, forward-thinking mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, build consensus, and influence outcomes
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Bar Admission in Tennessee (required)
