Durham office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a construction attorney, preferably with 6 years of construction law experience. The candidate should preferably have experience drafting and negotiating construction and design contracts and litigating construction claims. Must have knowledge and experience of bonds, sureties, mechanics liens, agreements with financial institutions, stop notices, public contract law, and prompt payment law. Expertise in regulatory compliance and advising clients during the full course of construction projects is required. Should have experience litigating construction-related claims, including construction defects, delays, cost overruns, bid protests, subcontractor disputes, and product liability. Familiarity with AIA forms and LEED certification is preferred. Experience defending matters before the Construction Board is also preferred.
