Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense litigation, including personal injury, property damage, product liability, toxic torts, premises liability, and transportation law.

• Conduct legal research on complex issues and provide detailed analysis.

• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests, and responses.

• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and client meetings.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure high-quality service.

• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and legal strategy.

• Meet deadlines and effectively manage a high volume of cases.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Active bar admission in Maryland.

• Additional bar admissions in other jurisdictions (e.g., DC, PA, VA) are a plus.

• 2+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation, preferably with experience in personal injury, property damage claims, and related fields.

• Strong academic credentials.

• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple cases.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Bar admission in Maryland is required.

• Additional Bar admissions (e.g., DC, PA, VA) are highly desirable.

Skills:

• Legal research and writing.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to handle complex legal issues independently.

Job Location:

• Hybrid work options are available with a requirement to work from the office 3 days per week after the initial training period (first 90-180 days).
