This role involves advising California businesses on employment matters, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and defending against employment-related claims. Location

Duties

  • Manage client cases from inception to resolution.

  • Interface with new and existing clients to provide strategic legal guidance.

  • Review and customize legal documents, including contracts, policies, procedures, and separation agreements.

  • Represent clients in employment-related legal matters, including court proceedings, mediations, and depositions.

  • Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and provide expert legal advice.

  • Maintain a minimum of 1,450 billed and collected hours per year for full-time employment.

  • Origination of new business is encouraged and rewarded but not required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing California employment law.

  • Experience advising employers on compliance and litigation matters.

  • Ability to independently manage cases and provide strategic legal counsel.

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
