Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and draft necessary legal documents for their cases.
• Represent clients at pretrial hearings and provide them with strategic legal guidance after each session.
• Handle court appearances, trials, motion drafting, witness interviews, and comprehensive legal research.
• Analyze case outcomes based on legal precedents and offer informed advice to clients.
• Effectively manage and organize a varied caseload, ensuring deadlines and court filings are met.
• Provide in-depth legal analysis to clients, outlining potential case benefits or risks.
• Gather and present evidence to strengthen the client’s case or counter the prosecution’s arguments.
• Prepare clients for depositions, identify key goals for case strategy, and collaborate with witnesses and experts to build strong positions.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense law, with the ability to handle complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Proven experience in managing a full caseload and maintaining effective client communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively with legal teams, providing support and strategic insights.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish (bilingual required).
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Texas.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice in Texas (additional federal court admissions preferred).

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Proven track record of effective courtroom performance and case management.
