A law firm in Little Rock, AR, is seeking a skilled Creditor's Rights Attorney to manage various creditor rights matters, including consumer credit collections and compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will be a member in good standing of the state bar, with strong experience in creditor's rights, consumer collections, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The role requires proficiency in case management software, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to handle court appearances and occasional travel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned creditor's rights matters utilizing the firm's case management and reporting software.
  • Represent clients in court appearances related to creditor's rights, consumer credit collections, and debt recovery.
  • Develop and execute legal strategies for collections, enforcement, and litigation.
  • Advise clients on compliance with state and federal laws related to consumer collections and the FDCPA.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support client representation and strategy.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Handle a caseload of various creditor's rights matters efficiently and professionally.
  • Stay updated on changes in state and federal credit collection laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bar license in good standing in the state of Arkansas is required.
  • Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of consumer credit collections, state laws regarding consumer collections, and FDCPA.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to handle court appearances and some travel as needed.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar license in the state of Arkansas.
  • Multi-state licensure is a plus.
