A prestigious law firm is seeking a Mid-Level IP Patent Prosecution Attorney to join their growing Intellectual Property Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have three or more years of experience in patent prosecution, with a focus on patent search, analysis, drafting, filing applications, and portfolio management. Experience with mechanical, biomedical, and medical devices is a plus, as is any litigation experience, though the latter is not required.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage patent prosecution for a variety of clients and industries
  • Perform patent searches and analysis
  • Draft and file patent applications
  • Provide portfolio management services
  • Collaborate with internal teams on IP-related matters
  • Potential involvement in IP litigation (optional)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in IP patent prosecution
  • Proven track record of handling patent applications across various industries
  • Strong knowledge of patent law and prosecution procedures
  • Experience with mechanical, biomedical, or medical devices (preferred)
  • Litigation experience (a plus but not required)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, biomedical science, or a related technical field (preferred)

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar
  • USPTO registration (required)
