Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join its team. The role will focus on a variety of immigration matters, with a particular emphasis on USCIS and EOIR proceedings. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in immigration law and a strong background in managing a wide range of immigration cases. This position requires a skilled professional who can provide expert legal advice and representation while managing multiple cases efficiently.

Location:

  • North Miami Beach, FL

Duties:

  • Assist with initial client consultations
  • Provide legal advice and representation on immigration matters such as family-based immigration, deportation defense, asylum, waivers, U-visas, Humanitarian Petitions, and Labor Certification
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and develop case strategies
  • Draft and prepare legal documents including petitions, waivers, applications, motions, and briefs
  • Represent clients in immigration court proceedings as needed
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on case progress and manage expectations
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical practice

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in immigration law
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
  • Experience handling a range of U.S. immigrant and non-immigrant visas, removal defense, VAWA, asylum, waivers, and Labor Certification
  • Florida Bar membership is preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar membership (preferred)
