An established law firm in New York is seeking an ambitious and experienced Partner-Level Real Estate Attorney. Duties

• Drafting contracts (AIA and other types) and other agreements, such as cell phone tower licenses and management agreements
• Drafting opinion letters on governing documents and local laws
• Handling commercial financing transactions, including mortgage refinances
• Addressing employment law issues, such as employment contracts, collective bargaining agreements, and severance agreements
• Drafting correspondence related to real estate matters, including discrimination cases
• Attending community and community board meetings
• Engaging in client contact and interaction
• Assisting with Co-op apartment transfer department transactions

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in real estate transactional work
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills
• Knowledge of community association work is advantageous

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice law in New York State

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York State
