Job Overview: A reputable law firm based in New York City, NY, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defense litigation, insurance defense, general liability, and transportation litigation. This is a full-time position that offers an opportunity to work on high-stakes cases, manage a litigation caseload independently, and collaborate with experienced attorneys.

Duties:

• Manage litigation cases from initiation to resolution.
• Conduct court appearances, motions, and depositions.
• Collaborate closely with other attorneys and partners on various legal projects.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and strategic advice.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, pleadings, and motions.
• Participate in negotiations and settlements.

Requirements:

• Must be admitted to practice in New York.
• 2+ years of experience in defense litigation, with a focus on insurance defense, general liability, and transportation litigation.
• 2-5 years of litigation experience.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
