Workers' Compensation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Attorney to manage and litigate cases on behalf of clients. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of workers' compensation claims, ensure effective case management, and advocate for clients in hearings and settlements.

Duties:

• Clearing the case management software (CMS) feed daily and ensuring proper documentation of assigned cases
• Completing Initial 72-hour Contacts and Quarterly Meaningful Client Contact (QMCC) with new clients
• Monitoring case progress, managing litigation, and directing legal arguments in hearings
• Facilitating regular meetings with Claim and Litigation Specialists to review case statuses
• Drafting non-routine correspondence and overseeing routine communication with relevant parties
• Addressing issues as they arise and ensuring timely appeals when necessary
• Participating in administrative and leadership team meetings as required

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution approved by the American Bar Association
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada and good standing with the Nevada State Bar
• 2 years of experience in workers' compensation litigation with a proven track record in settlements
• Thorough knowledge of legal principles, research techniques, and government regulations related to workers' compensation
• Excellent legal drafting, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CMS
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred
• Commitment to maintaining integrity, confidentiality, and client advocacy

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited institution
