Location:

  • Las Vegas, Nevada

Duties:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and responsibilities in criminal cases.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to the cases.
  • Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide post-hearing strategic advice.
  • Manage court appearances, trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and performing legal research.
  • Analyze case outcomes using knowledge of legal precedents and provide guidance accordingly.
  • Oversee and manage a diverse caseload of criminal defense cases.
  • Gather evidence and prepare arguments to support clients’ positions or counter prosecution charges.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and work with experts to support case strategy and goals.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense law.
  • Skills:
    • Strong ability to handle complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels.
    • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
    • Ability to collaborate and strategize with a team of attorneys and support staff.
    • Strong legal research, writing, and analysis skills.
  • Preferred:
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the Nevada State Bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in criminal defense law and legal precedents.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and effectively organize workloads.
  • Experience with court appearances, trials, motions, and depositions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other attorneys and legal staff.
