A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join their insurance coverage team in either Fort Lauderdale or Miami. The successful candidate will have a background in insurance coverage and a strong desire to contribute to the growth of the first-party coverage practice.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and representation in first-party insurance coverage matters.
  • Manage a diverse caseload involving insurance defense, including bad faith and professional liability issues.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct depositions, court appearances, and trials as necessary.
  • Perform detailed legal research to support case strategies and documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to develop effective legal solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all procedural and legal requirements in both state and federal courts.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in insurance coverage, with a focus on first-party property claims.
  • Active license to practice law in Florida.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent research and writing skills.
  • Practical case management experience in both state and federal courts is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Exceptional research and writing capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and case management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
  • Experience taking and defending depositions is a plus.
