Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a dedicated and motivated Bilingual Immigration Associate Attorney to join their team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in immigration law or a desire to grow in this field. The ideal candidate should be bilingual in English and Spanish, possess a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree, and hold a valid Bar license. As an Immigration Associate Attorney, the candidate will be involved in representing clients, preparing legal documents, and conducting immigration hearings, all while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Location:

  • Fitchburg, WI

Duties:

  • Prepare filings for immigration court and applications for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Represent clients at bond, master, and merits hearings in immigration court.
  • Conduct and represent clients during USCIS interviews.
  • Perform client intakes and assessments.
  • Write legal briefs and perform extensive legal research.
  • Assist fellow attorneys with case management to ensure proper handling of individual caseloads.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • 1 year of experience in Immigration law (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage an individual caseload effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized.
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar License from any U.S. state.
