Job Overview:

A growing law firm in Northeast Florida is seeking a Land Use and Zoning Attorney to join its expanding team in St. Augustine. This role focuses on providing legal services related to land use, zoning, and local government matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in obtaining entitlements, permits, and approvals, as well as a strong understanding of local government land development processes. This is a full-time position with compensation based on experience.

Location:

  • St. Augustine, FL

Duties:

  • Advise clients on land use, zoning, and local government regulations.
  • Assist in obtaining entitlements, permits, and approvals for land development projects.
  • Represent clients in interactions with local governments, zoning boards, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to land development and zoning matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, petitions, and development agreements.
  • Provide specialized legal counsel in the field of land use and zoning to clients.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of legal experience, preferably in land use and zoning.
  • Experience working with local government regulations and processes.
  • Strong research and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and cases efficiently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.
  • Member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • Ability to relocate to Northeast Florida, if not already located there.
