Job Overview: A law firm in Houston, TX is seeking a Mid-Level Private Equity Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies in various complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity investments.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, promptly respond to phone calls and correspondence.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all work products.
  • Meet deadlines and perform duties as required by firm expectations.
  • Foster positive work relationships and adhere to firm policies.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including extensive computer work, virtual meetings, and conference calls.
  • Perform other assigned tasks and projects as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience advising private equity firms in complex transactions.
  • Previous experience with AmLaw 100 firms or SEC-related work preferred.
  • Admitted to practice law in Texas.
