Junior Trademark Intellectual Property Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City, NY is seeking a Junior Trademark Intellectual Property Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience. The ideal candidate must possess superior analytical skills, strong academic credentials, and excellent oral, writing, and interpersonal skills.

Duties:

• Conducting comprehensive trademark searches and providing clearance opinions.
• Drafting and filing trademark applications with the USPTO and managing trademark prosecution.
• Advising clients on trademark portfolio management and enforcement strategies.
• Assisting with trademark litigation matters, including drafting pleadings and motions.
• Negotiating and drafting IP-related agreements, including licensing and assignment agreements.
• Conducting due diligence for corporate transactions involving intellectual property assets.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to sit for the next New York Bar exam.
• 1-3 years of experience in trademark law and intellectual property matters.
• Strong understanding of trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement procedures.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with copyright law, domain name disputes, or other aspects of intellectual property law.
• Experience with international trademark laws and procedures.
